Ester Kopel is a full lyric soprano based in Rome. Recognized for hert expressive vocality and versatile soprano that performed with strong stage presence. She has already performed on prestigious stages in Italy and abroad, receiving praise for the depth of her interpretations. She studies under the guidance of Ugo Tarquini.
In Februray 2025 Ester performed the role of LIÙ from the opera Turandot by G.Pucinni under the baton of maetro Giuseppe Aqcuaviva. In the same year, she won First Prize at the International Singing Competition in Taranto, Puglia, solidifying her artistic growth within the Italian operatic scene.
In July 2024 Ester debueted as Donna Elvira in the opera Don Giovanni at the Teatro di Belluno earning excellent reviews for her vocal and interpretative intensity.
In May 2024, she won the Mattia Battistini International Competition in Rieti and was a finalist in the Jole de Maria International Singing Competition.

I Pagliacci at the Taranto Opera Festival (concert version).
Before moving to Rome, Ester was a soloist with the National Opera of Jerusalem and is currently a member of the ensemble of the Jerusalem Opera. She is set to perform the roles of Elettra in “Idomeneo” and Tatyana in “Eugene Onegin.” Ester Kopel has collaborated with numerous orchestras and participated in festivals across Europe and Israel, working with renowned ensembles such as the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, and the Beer Sheva Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductors like Davide Boldrini, Sergio Alapont, Nir Kabaretti, Alan Christof, Shu Zong, and others.
Her recent engagements were include a concert at the Taranto Opera Festival, the role of Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni” at the Schwetzingen Schlosstheater in Germany, Musetta in “La Bohème,” Flora in “Traviata,” Mutter in “Hansel and Gretel” with the Jerusalem Opera, and Vitellia in “La clemenza di Tito” at the BILBAO Opera House in Spain (canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
Ester has received the First Prize from the Buchman-Heyman Foundation, was a semifinalist at the prestigious Renata Tebaldi Competition, and reached the semifinals of the Ada Sari Competition in Poland. She has participated in various international masterclasses and attended the IVAI (International Vocal Art Institute) with John Norris and David Aronson.
She studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, Israel. Ester speaks fluently: English, Italian, Russian, German (A2), Hebrew.
